For you are none other than my greatest good fortune, whose
You are none but my greatest bliss, for
regard I find myself needing—a brother to poverty.
In your gaze I see myself a brother of destitution,

ويُرجَعُ عند الاِفتقارِ إلى الذُّخر
And I have stored up no companion but you against time,
And I have saved none but you, my friend, for time,
And in times of need, one turns to the stored treasure.
And in time of need one turns again to treasure.
