ومُنازعيand my adversary فيin أوّلِthe beginning of اسْna- (first part of 'name')
ومُنازعي في أوّلِ اسْ
مِكَ-me + your (completing 'your name') والجوابُand the reply عليكَupon you واجِبْobligatory
مِكَ والجوابُ عليكَ واجِبْ
And my adversary is in the beginning of your na—
My opponents dispute your name,
—me, and a reply is incumbent upon you.
And answering you is incumbent upon me,
ومنand among النّوائبِthe misfortunes أننّيthat I
ومن النّوائبِ أننّي
فيin مثْلِthe like of هذاthis الشُّغْلِthe work نائبa deputy
في مثْلِ هذا الشُّغْلِ نائب
And one of the misfortunes is that I
Among the tribulations is that I
am a deputy in work like this.
Am occupied with the likes of this,
ومنand among العجائبِthe wonders أنَthat ليI have
ومن العجائبِ أنَ لي
صَبْراًpatience علىwith هذِيthese العجائبthe wonders
صَبْراً على هذِي العجائب
And one of the wonders is that I have
