يا مَن نَداهُ لزائرِي

يا مَن نَداهُ لزائرِي

هِ الدَّهْرَ تَرحيبٌ وبِشْرُ

هِ الدَّهْرَ تَرحيبٌ وبِشْرُ

O you whose bounty toward your visitor

O you whose bounty to his visitors

is, through all time, welcome and cheer,

is always welcome and cheerfulness,

اسْمَحْ بلُبٍّ من نَدا

اسْمَحْ بلُبٍّ من نَدا

كَ لنا فإنّ البِشْرَ قِشْر

كَ لنا فإنّ البِشْرَ قِشْر

Grant us the kernel of your boun—

grant a kernel of your bounty

—ty; for cheer is but a shell.

to us, for cheerfulness is a husk.
