The servant is your servant, O you who are his master.
O servant, you are the servant of the One who is your Master
And none but you comes to his aid amid afflictions.
And none but Him in hardships will aid and muster

I have none but you, O Messenger of God, to turn to.
None have I but you, Messenger of God, to seek and cluster

لا أَستَعين بِأَنصار وَلا عَدَد
And from your presence I seek what I need in both worlds.
And from your side in both abodes is my request and plea
I seek aid from neither supporters nor numbers,
I seek no aid of helpers nor of number and cadre

Neither status, nor wealth, nor child do I infer
Rather, you—you are my hope, O best support.
But You, You are my hope, O best one I repair!

Without you, neither my soul nor my body would have been created,
Without You would my soul and body ne’er dare
nor my life, nor my self, nor my breath.
Nor my life, nor self into being e'er flare

You who attained the banners of sublime flare

Ascending the Burāq to seventh heaven’s layer

حَططتُ رحل رَجائي في ذُراك فَلا
No hopeful seeker of you has met disappointment or shame.
No seeker of Yours disappointed nor in despair
I have laid down the saddle of my hope in your shelter; so do not
I laid my hope’s luggage in Your care, so ne'er

Make my hope recoiled or reflected in misfare
I complain to you of agonies and overwhelming sorrow,
I complain to You of sadness and melancholy rare

from the sickness of sins that has baffled the healers.
From the illness of sins, in which agony did fare
Know, in your kindness, that patience has worn away.
Realize with Your grace that patience fled bare

And rain upon me from Your clouds, mayhap it will repair
the dry part of my fortune's garden will grow green.
The barren part of my fortune’s garden with gentle care

O family of the Prophet, secure for me with your grandfather
The Prophet's kin took for me in their ancestor's place
a standing where I may find shelter through your greatness.
A standing I take refuge in through their ancestor's grace

Giving thanks has been sweet to me in describing your glory.
Gratitude's sweetness in glorifying their feats I chase
When I recall the best praise of you, I wish
When neglecting, may I by muteness your laud replace

that I were given muteness in place of that speech.
