مِنهُ المَحاسن تَرويها وَتَفديها
Souls among us ransom him, though the ransom be dear.
We'd ransom him with what we have, though high the price
His charms quench their thirst and ransom them.
His charms which ruh's breeze and musk's scent appraise

عرف الصِبا وَعَبيق المسك يُؤذيها
A breeze that smells his forelock, even in imagination—
A fancied whiff of him would her appall
The east wind’s fragrance and musk’s aroma offend it.
His youthfulness and musky fragrance her dismays
