عدpromise وَماطلand put off فَقَدfor indeed رَضيتI am content
عد وَماطل فَقَد رَضيت
مِنكَfrom you وَإِنand even if كانَit is بِالجَفاwith coldness ايبreturning
مِنكَ وَإِن كانَ بِالجَفا ايب
Promise and put me off, for I am content
Count and stall, for I have been content
With a promise from you, even if it returns with coldness.
With you, though with disdain you treat me.
صدقthe truth of وَعودpromises الحسانthe beauties أَجمَعهاall of them
صدق وَعود الحسان أَجمَعها
فداًa ransom لِلذّاتfor the delights of وَعدكyour promise الكاذبlying
فداً لِلذّات وَعدك الكاذب
The truth of all the beauties’ promises
True are the promises of kindness entire,
Is a ransom for the delights of your lying promise.
Your lying promise, a sacrifice for the self.
