بَيتاًa house جَليلاًmajestic كَبيتlike the House of اللَهِGod نَعرِفُهُwe know it
O son of the noble ones whose resolve built
O son of the noble ones, their resolves were strengthened
A majestic house we know, like the House of God.
By a glorious house, like the house of God we know it
أَنتَyou الكَبيرthe great man الَّذيwhom لاnot العَزلdismissal from office يُنقِصُهُdiminishes him
قَدراًin stature وَلاnor المَنصبthe office العاليhigh يُشرِفُهُennobles him
You are the great man whom neither dismissal diminishes
You are the great one whom neither demotion diminishes
In stature, nor high office ennobles.
His worth, nor high office ennobles him

لَمwould not يَلفfind غَيرَكanyone but you فيin الدُنياthe world فَيألفهُand befriend him
And even if kindness searched and tested with all its might,
Even if the renowned did his utmost in testing
It would find none but you in the world to befriend.
He would find none but you in the world to befriend
عَبيدslaves نَعماكَyour bounty لاnot يَخشونthey fear مِنof سَرَفextravagance
إِنif أَتلَفdestroys الدَهرtime شَيئاًanything أَنتَyou تَخلفُهُyou replace it
Those enslaved by your bounty have no fear of extravagance;
The servants of your bounty have no fear of excess
If time destroys anything, you replace it.
If time ruins aught, you will replace it
