My lord, graciously visit

My Master, visit unsolicited

your servant’s house, without any bidding.

Your servant's home without command

تَغدو بِكَ الفلكَ المَدا

تَغدو بِكَ الفلكَ المَدا

ر إِذا بَدَت أَقمار سَعدِكَ

ر إِذا بَدَت أَقمار سَعدِكَ

With you, it becomes the revolving celestial sphere

The galaxies circle with your dawn

when the moons of your good fortune appear.

When your auspicious stars arise

فَقُلوبُنا وَعُيونُنا

فَقُلوبُنا وَعُيونُنا

في الطُرق قَد فَرَشَت لِوَعدك

في الطُرق قَد فَرَشَت لِوَعدك

For our hearts and our eyes

Our hearts and eyes

lie spread upon the paths, awaiting your promised visit.

Have paved the roads for your promise

اليمن يَسعى في رِكا

اليمن يَسعى في رِكا

بك وَالعُلا مِقدام جُندُك

بك وَالعُلا مِقدام جُندُك

Good fortune hastens in your retinue,

Good fortune strives in your stirrups

and glory is your army’s bold champion.

And glory leads your troops

فَأَسلم لَنا وَلِدارِنا

فَأَسلم لَنا وَلِدارِنا

إِذ كُلُنا مِن بَعض رَفدِكَ

إِذ كُلُنا مِن بَعض رَفدِكَ

So remain safe for us and for our house,

So keep our homes and us safe

for all of us are sustained by a portion of your bounty.
