أَماis it not آنthe time has come أَنfor تَصحوto awaken العُقولthe minds مِنfrom السُكرdrunkenness
وَيَطلَعand rise صُبحthe morning التَوبةof repentance الصادقtrue الفَجرthe dawn
Is it not time for minds to wake from drunkenness,
Is it not time for minds to awaken from intoxication
And for the morning of repentance to rise with a true dawn,
And for the dawn of sincere repentance to rise?
وَاِخلَصand break free مِنfrom نَفسيmy own self وَمِنand from شَهواتِهاits desires
وَأَبصرand behold وَجهthe face النَجحof success يُشرقshines بِالبَشَرwith gladness
And for me to break free of my own self and its desires,
May I free myself from my soul and its desires
And behold the face of success, radiant with gladness,
And see the face of success shining with good tidings.

And when he rose from the sorrow of waywardness and desire [wording unclear],
When sadness of temptation and passion passes away
And revel in the garden of gifts and reward?
And I graze in the meadow of gifts and rewards,

Hopeful expectation brings me glad tidings of a blessing
Beautiful thoughts give me good news
From God, unceasing in secret and in the open.
Of a blessing from God that does not cease, secretly or openly.
