ومعبّسٍand a frowning man لِلكاسto the cup راحhe went وَأَنَّهُand that he
ومعبّسٍ لِلكاس راح وَأَنَّهُ
مُتبسمsmiling الحَرَكاتmovements وَالسَكَناتand stillnesses
مُتبسم الحَرَكات وَالسَكَنات
And a frowning man went to the cup, though he was
smiling in movement and in stillness.
أَقضيI perish ظُلماًunjustly وَبِثَغرِهِand in his mouth وَبِوَجهِهِand on his face
أَقضي ظُلماً وَبِثَغرِهِ وَبِوَجهِهِ
ماءنtwo waters (irregular spelling) ماءwater حَياًrain وَماءand water حَيّاتserpents
ماءن ماء حَياً وَماء حَيّات
I perish unjustly, while in his mouth and on his face
are two waters: rainwater and the water of serpents.
