لاdo not تَضيعواyou neglect منthose who إَلَيكُمto you سَلمواthey entrusted
لا تَضيعوا من إَلَيكُم سَلموا
أَمرَهُمtheir affairs لَماwhen عَلَيكُمtoward you أَقدمواthey approached
أَمرَهُم لَما عَلَيكُم أَقدموا
Do not neglect those who entrusted to you
Do not reject those who make peace with you
Their affairs when they approached you.
When they put your affairs before theirs
لَوif تَجليتُمyou revealed yourselves عَلىupon أَهلthe people of الشَقاmisery
لَو تَجليتُم عَلى أَهل الشَقا
بِنَعيمwith bliss مِنfrom شَقاهمtheir misery سَلمواthey would escape
بِنَعيم مِن شَقاهم سَلموا
If you revealed yourselves to the wretched
If you were to shine light on the wretched
With bliss, they would escape their misery.
With the blessings spared from their misery, make peace
