What rope do all people see

Amid Hell, hidden from no one?

In the middle of hell, hidden from no one?

كُلُّ الحِبالِ حِبالِ الناسِ مِن شَعَرٍ

كُلُّ الحِبالِ حِبالِ الناسِ مِن شَعَرٍ

وَحَبلُها وَسطَ أَهلِ النارِ مِن مَسَدِ

وَحَبلُها وَسطَ أَهلِ النارِ مِن مَسَدِ

All ropes—the ropes of people—are made of hair,

All ropes are made of people's hair

But her rope, amid the inhabitants of the Fire, is made of twisted palm fiber.

And their rope in the midst of hellfire is braided from palm fiber.
