شَتّانَ حينَ يَنُثُّ الناسُ فِعلَهُما
ماwhat بَينَbetween ذيthe bearer of الذَمِّblame والمَحمودِand the praised one إِنif حُمِداboth are praised
ما بَينَ ذي الذَمِّ والمَحمودِ إِن حُمِدا
How vast the difference, when people recount their deeds,
How different when people scatter their deeds
between the blameworthy and the praised, if both are praised.
