لعَمري لقد جاءَ العِرَاقَ كثيرٌ

بأحدُوثَةٍ من وحيه المُتَكذِّبِ

By my life, Kuthayyir has indeed come to Iraq

For my life, many have come to Iraq

with a tale from his lying inspiration.

With innovations from his disputed inspiration

أيزعُمُ أنِّي من كِنانَةَ أوِّلي

أيزعُمُ أنِّي من كِنانَةَ أوِّلي

وما لي من أُمٍّ هناكَ ولا أبِ
