وَإِذاand when الدُّرُّpearls زانَadorned حُسنَthe beauty of وُجوهٍfaces
وَإِذا الدُّرُّ زانَ حُسنَ وُجوهٍ
كانَwas لِلدُّرِّfor the pearls حُسنُthe beauty of وَجهكِyour face زَيناan adornment
كانَ لِلدُّرِّ حُسنُ وَجهكِ زَينا
And when pearls adorn the beauty of faces,
When precious pearls adorn the fairest faces
the beauty of your face is an adornment to pearls.
Their beauty owes to the charm your visage graces
وَتَزِيدينَand you increase أَطيَبَthe most fragrant of الطِّيبِperfume طِيباًin fragrance
وَتَزِيدينَ أَطيَبَ الطِّيبِ طِيباً
أَنthat تَمَسِّيهِyou touch it أَينَwhere مِثلُكِone like you أَيناwhere
أَن تَمَسِّيهِ أَينَ مِثلُكِ أَينا
And you make the finest perfume more fragrant
The sweetest scent grows ever more divine
by touching it—where is your equal, where?
When blessed to touch your skin where equals shine
