وَقَد وَعَدتكَ الخَيفَ ذا الشَري مِن مِنىً

وَقَد وَعَدتكَ الخَيفَ ذا الشَري مِن مِنىً

وَتِلكَ المُنى لَو أَنَّنا نَستَطيعُها

وَتِلكَ المُنى لَو أَنَّنا نَستَطيعُها

And I have promised to meet you at al-Khayf, with its colocynth, in Mina;

I promised you the fear of evil from Mina

And those are the wishes—if only we could fulfill them.

And that wish, if only we could attain it
