أَهاجَكَhas it stirred you? أَمor لاnot بِالمَداخِنِat al-Madakhin مَربَعُa spring encampment
أَهاجَكَ أَم لا بِالمَداخِنِ مَربَعُ
وَدارٌand a dwelling بِأَجزاعِat the bends of الغَديرَينِal-Ghadirayn بَلقَعُdesolate
وَدارٌ بِأَجزاعِ الغَديرَينِ بَلقَعُ
Has a spring encampment at al-Madakhin stirred you, or not,
Over the squares, smoke rises or doesn't
And a desolate dwelling at the bends of al-Ghadirayn?
