وَلَقَدand indeed قُلتُI said يَومَon the day of مَكَّةَMecca سِراًin secret
وَلَقَد قُلتُ يَومَ مَكَّةَ سِراً
قَبلَbefore وَشكٍimminence مِنof بَينهاher parting نَوِّلينيgrant me
قَبلَ وَشكٍ مِن بَينها نَوِّليني
And indeed, on the day in Mecca, I said in secret,
In Mecca once I said in secret -
Before her imminent parting: 'Grant me your favor.'
ere we departed - 'Turn me away!'
