مَتَىwhenever مَاever (for emphasis) أَقُلI utter فيin آخِرِthe end of الدَّهرtime مِدحَةًpraise
مَتَى مَا أَقُل في آخِرِ الدَّهر مِدحَةً
فَماthen not هِيَit إِلاexcept لابنِfor the son of لَيلَىLayla المُكَرَّمِthe honored
فَما هِيَ إِلا لابنِ لَيلَى المُكَرَّمِ
Whenever I utter praise at the end of time,
Whenever I recite a final ode of praise
then it is only for the honored son of Layla.
It is naught but for Layla's esteemed son
