O Abu Khalid, the stay amid suffering has grown long,
and my reach falls short of what my aspirations soar toward.
فَحُلَّso untie عِقالَthe hobble of الأَرْحَبِيِّthe Arhabi camel وَلاand do not تُقِمْremain

So untie the Arhabi camel’s hobble, and do not remain
where you commune with humiliation—may the death-crier proclaim your death!
