إِذsince طَيَّبَennobled المَجدُglory وَالعَلياءُand eminence محتِدَهُمtheir lineage
The sons of Talha are pure of heart through generosity,
The sons of Talha have been scented with the dew,
Since glory and eminence have ennobled their lineage.
When glory and nobility have scented their gathering,
فَأَمسُهُمthus their yesterday قاصِرٌfalling short عَنof يَومِهمtheir today شَرَفاًin honor
وَيَومُهُمand their today حاسِدٌenvying فيin فَضلِهِمtheir excellence غَدَهُمْtheir tomorrow
Thus their yesterday falls short of their today in honor,
So their past falls short of their day in nobility,
And, in their excellence, their today envies their tomorrow.
And their day is envious of their future in virtue.
صَغيرُهُمtheir youngest كَكَبيرٍlike an elder فيin اِقتِناءattaining عُلاeminence

Their youngest is like an elder in attaining eminence;
Their small one is like their elder in attaining elevation,
Whomever you meet among them, you say, “I have met their chief.”
Whoever meets them, says I have met their master.
