قل لإمام الأنام طرا
سلمتmay you remain safe للبذلfor giving والنوالِand bounty
سلمت للبذل والنوالِ
Say to the imam of all mankind:
Say to the leader of all people, generously,
May you remain safe to give and bestow bounty.
I have submitted to giving and bestowing.
قدindeed سمنgrew fat ابنson of الخلالal-Khallal فاجعلso make
قد سمن ابن الخلال فاجعل
قفاهhis nape بالصفعwith slaps كالخلالِlike a toothpick
قفاه بالصفع كالخلالِ
Ibn al-Khallal has grown fat; so make
The son of immorality has grown fat, so make
his nape as thin as a toothpick by slapping it.
His neck bear blows like immorality.
قدindeed جاءcame منfrom نطفةa drop of semen حرامillicit
قد جاء من نطفة حرام
كماas ترىyou see مفسداruining حلالِlawful wealth
كما ترى مفسدا حلالِ
He sprang from an illicit drop of semen,
He came from an illicit drop of sperm,
as you see, ruining lawful wealth.
As you see, making the unlawful lawful.
فبيتهfor his house ممتلfull طعاماfood
فبيته ممتل طعاما
ومنثرand scattered bounty حلhas settled فيهin it حالِabiding
ومنثر حل فيه حالِ
For his house is full of food,
So his house is filled with food
and scattered bounty has settled there to stay.
And scattered with permitted turpitude.
فاخلعso bestow عليهupon him قيداa fetter وغلاًand a neck-shackle
فاخلع عليه قيدا وغلاً
فإنَّهfor he is آفةُa blight on الغلالِthe grain harvests
فإنَّه آفةُ الغلالِ
So bestow upon him a fetter and a neck-shackle,
So place on him shackles and chains,
for he is a blight on the grain harvests.
For he is the bane of the banes.
