May your evening be filled with blessings, O benefactor.
You are called the bestower of blessings, O Mun'im,
If fate oppresses, in him we seek refuge.
When the time is unkind, we seek refuge in you,

You are the full moon, a rain-bearing cloud,

whose two palms' bounty keeps the poor alive.
That revives the poor with your kindness,

You are like honey's sweetness on a dewy day,

Sweet, and bitter on the day of war,

forgiving the offender, pure of conscience.
And pardon the sinner, pure of conscience,

For the former you offer hospitality—and why do you provision the latter?
For this you are cherished, so why would you change?

Nor has the night’s darkness unveiled the brilliant dawn.
