لولا تسلى بارتكاضي
فيin البعدdistance والقربand nearness والتلاقيand meeting
في البعد والقرب والتلاقي
Were it not for finding solace in my restless motion,
If not for entertaining myself
In distance, nearness, and meeting,
With your nearness, distance, and our meeting

ودفعي الهم بالأماني

فارقت روحي مع الفراق
And my dispelling sorrow with hopes,
And relieving my worries with wishes
My soul would have departed with parting.
My soul would have parted with separation
