ياO منyou who يسرis delighted بلذةin the pleasure of الدنياthis world
يا من يسر بلذة الدنيا
ويظنهاand thinks it خلقتwas created لماfor what يهوىhe desires
ويظنها خلقت لما يهوى
O you who delight in the pleasure of this world,
O you who is pleased by the delights of this world
And think it was created for what you desire,
And thinks it is made for whatever you desire
لاdo not تكذبنspeak falsely (emphatic) فإنهاfor indeed it خلقتwas created
لا تكذبن فإنها خلقت
لينالso that he may attain زاهدهاone who renounces it بهاthrough it الأخرىthe hereafter
لينال زاهدها بها الأخرى
Do not speak falsely, for it was created
Do not be fooled, for it is created
So that one who renounces it may attain the hereafter through it.
So that those who renounce it may attain the next
