بعثت إلى رب البرايا رسالة

بعثت إلى رب البرايا رسالة

توسل لي منها دعاء مناصح

توسل لي منها دعاء مناصح

I sent a message to the Lord of all creatures;

I sent a message to the Lord of the wilderness

Through it, a sincere well-wisher's prayer interceded for me.

In which I implored a prayer of advice

فجاء جوابي بالإجابة وانجلت

فجاء جوابي بالإجابة وانجلت

بها كرب ضاقت بهن الجوانح

بها كرب ضاقت بهن الجوانح

Then came a favorable reply to me, and there were dispelled

So my reply came with the response and it shone a light

Through it the sorrows that had constricted my breast.

Through which a grief was relieved, that had tightened the chests
