Many a night I donned youthful playfulness,
O Lord of the night when I wore my robes
and cast the bridle and reproach away from me,
And cast off from me sadness and sorrow,

in a place where the pleasure of life dwells,
Grant me a place of delight and pleasure
and whose joy is reaped from feigned reproach.
Where joy and happiness I may borrow.
