فارتد ثوب الروض منه بليلا
The breeze arose at evening, languid,
The breeze blew gently in the evening
and the meadow's robe became damp from it.
Making the garden's robe a little worn

And the daughters of the clouds watered the udders of dew,
The girls of al-Muzain watered the traces of dew
and the gardens' trees summoned a guarantor for them,
And the meadows called it their bail

Until when the rosiness dried up
and you see in their ripening another draught for them.
You see it has an excuse for its maturation

And the gray doves, stirring love with their cries,
And the leaves, in yearning for love with their foliage
imitate priests who have recited a Gospel.

And the sun is a face at the rear of a camel litter,
And the sun is a face in the rear of the bridal carriage
which a massive-humped camel carries downward, heavily.
Swooping down with it the heavy litter

And the light in the bosom of the late evening as floating clouds
revealing nothing but head and neck.
That did not appear except like a wink and a doze

A time made happy by bliss when it sees

In the features of the splendid one a representation of itself

تسعا وتحسوه العقول شمولا
a character whose value experience raises
A people who increase knowledge by their heating of it

Ninefold, and minds think it all-encompassing
