هَذا ضَريحٌ لِلهُمَامِ الأمجَدِ

هَذا ضَريحٌ لِلهُمَامِ الأمجَدِ

نَجمِ المُلوكِ السَّيدِ ابنِ السَّيِّدِ

نَجمِ المُلوكِ السَّيدِ ابنِ السَّيِّدِ

This is the tomb of the most glorious hero,

Star of kings, a lord, the son of a lord.

عَلَمٌ غَدَا لِلقَاسِمينِ مُجاورِراً

عَلَمٌ غَدَا لِلقَاسِمينِ مُجاورِراً

فَأضَا أمَامَهُمَا ضِياءَ الفَرقَدِ

فَأضَا أمَامَهُمَا ضِياءَ الفَرقَدِ

A luminary who became a neighbor to the two Qasims,

And shone before them both with the radiance of Farqad.

لاَقَى بِرأفَتِهِ العِبَادَ فَرَبُّهُ

لاَقَى بِرأفَتِهِ العِبَادَ فَرَبُّهُ

لاَقَاهُ بِالغُفرَانِ يَومَ المَوعِدِ

لاَقَاهُ بِالغُفرَانِ يَومَ المَوعِدِ

He met the people with his compassion, so his Lord

Met him with forgiveness on the appointed day.

عَمَّ الأنَامَ الهَدِيُ في أيَّامِهِ

عَمَّ الأنَامَ الهَدِيُ في أيَّامِهِ

إحكَام حُكمْ قَلَّ مَنْ لم يَهْتَدِ

إحكَام حُكمْ قَلَّ مَنْ لم يَهْتَدِ

Guidance encompassed all people in his days;

Firm governance—few failed to find guidance.

فَالحِلمُ شِيمَتُهُ وَحِليَتُهُ الرّضا

فَالحِلمُ شِيمَتُهُ وَحِليَتُهُ الرّضا

والخَيرُ فِيهِ لِمَنْ يَروحُ وَيَغتَدي

والخَيرُ فِيهِ لِمَنْ يَروحُ وَيَغتَدي

For forbearance was his nature, and contentment his adornment,

And in him was goodness for whoever went forth at evening and morning.

يَا واقِفَاً بِضَريحِهِ سَلْ رَبَّهُ

يَا واقِفَاً بِضَريحِهِ سَلْ رَبَّهُ

كَرَماً يُمَتِّعُهُ بِحُورٍ نُهَّدِ

كَرَماً يُمَتِّعُهُ بِحُورٍ نُهَّدِ

O you who stand by his tomb, ask his Lord

To grant him, in His generosity, delight with full-breasted houris.

وَاقرَأ لَهُ أمَّ الكِتابِ هَدِيةً

وَاقرَأ لَهُ أمَّ الكِتابِ هَدِيةً

فَعَسى يَفوزُ بِرحمَة لَمْ تَنفْد

فَعَسى يَفوزُ بِرحمَة لَمْ تَنفْد

And recite for him the Mother of the Book as a gift,

So may he attain mercy that never runs out.

بُشرَى لَهُ إذ جَاءَ في تَارِيخِهِ

بُشرَى لَهُ إذ جَاءَ في تَارِيخِهِ

يَا حُسنَ حُورٍ زُيِّنَتْ لِمُحَمَّدِ

يَا حُسنَ حُورٍ زُيِّنَتْ لِمُحَمَّدِ

Glad tidings to him, for his chronogram reads:

Oh, the beauty of houris adorned for Muhammad!
