حَضرَمَوتٌHadramawt فَتَّشَتscrutinized أَحسابَناour pedigrees
حَضرَمَوتٌ فَتَّشَت أَحسابَنا
وَإِليناand to us حَضرَمَوتٌHadramawt تَنتَسِبtraces its lineage
وَإِلينا حَضرَمَوتٌ تَنتَسِب
Hadramawt has scrutinized our pedigrees.
Hazramaut has ransacked our clans
And Hadramawt traces its lineage to us.
And Hazramaut claims kinship with us
إِخوَةُbrothers القِردِthe monkey وَهُمand they أَعمامُهُits paternal uncles
إِخوَةُ القِردِ وَهُم أَعمامُهُ
بَرِئَتdeclared themselves free مِنكُمof you (plural) إِلىbefore اللَهِGod العَرَبthe Arabs
بَرِئَت مِنكُم إِلى اللَهِ العَرَب
Brothers of the monkey—and they are its paternal uncles.
We are but monkeys' cousins
The Arabs have disowned you before God.
Arabs are absolved of you before God
