وما الدهر إلّا تارتانِ فَمِنهُما

وما الدهر إلّا تارتانِ فَمِنهُما

أَموتُ وأُخرى أَبتغي العيشَ أكدَحُ

And time is but two turns: in one of them

The days are but two breaths

I die; in the other I seek a living, toiling.

With one I die, the other I struggle to live
