أُقَبِّلُهُ فَيُرشِفُني رضاباً

تَبَقَّت فيهِ آثارُ المُدامِ

I kiss him, and he lets me sip his saliva;

I kiss him, so he overwhelms me with pleasure,

Traces of wine remain in it.

In it remain traces of wine,

سَقانِيها الحَبيبُ وَلَستُ أَدري

سَقانِيها الحَبيبُ وَلَستُ أَدري

لِذَلِكَ قَد خَلَصتُ مِن الأَثامِ

لِذَلِكَ قَد خَلَصتُ مِن الأَثامِ

My beloved gave it to me to drink, without my knowing;

My beloved gave it to me, though I did not know,

For that reason, I have indeed escaped sin.

That's why I am free from sin.
