We turned toward the upland, where gather
We rode to the meadow where the morning breeze
the fragrant breaths of the east wind.
Brings fragrant breaths that mingle and coalesce.

There we let our horses freely gallop and race
its delightful, verdant meadows,
Across its fresh, verdant, and flourishing space.

around a pool whose water is clad in armor,
Around a pond whose waters like armor lie,
while through its transparency the earth lies bare.
With ground so delicate it seems to subsidize.

So the sun, when it faces it in early forenoon,
When the sun nears the pond, the glow of dawn
is a beauty gazing into her mirror.
Is a beauty looking at herself forlorn.

They swim in its still waters cloaked in gloom.

Chilled, if it passes through its surroundings,
A passing venomous wind, if it whips through,
is a scorching wind's blast in the blaze of noon.
Would sting with its scorching and searing hallu.

A sample of that water, concerning which we received the
This pond we were promised would await us, would sate us,
promise that we shall be given it to drink in the Hereafter.
With water to drink in the thereafter, our balm and elixir.
