Had the day of parting from them been appointed beforehand,
If only the day I parted from them was not so hard
They would not have bereft my heart of its fine fortitude.
They would not have pained my heart with such graceful composure

Departure grew urgent, while in my heart lay a longing
Departing was difficult, with yearning in my heart
Among the crescent moons and swaying boughs.
Between the crescent moon and the swaying branches
