I say to my companion, “What do you think of what
I say to my friend: "What is your view on what
I confide to you? Then offer your candid counsel.
I confide to you? Offer me frank advice.

I find myself selling my heart in exchange for another heart—
I see myself selling my heart for another heart;
but who is there to buy a wounded heart?
and who would buy the wounded heart?
فانْso if يكسُدْfinds no buyer عليَّfor me ولمand did not أبِعْهُI sell it

If it remains unsold on my hands and I do not sell it,
So if it finds no buyer for me and I do not sell it,
I will cast it away, in hopes that I may find rest.”
I shall cast it away; perhaps I shall find rest."
