Our ash, in a lofty dome,

bewitched the eyes with its inverted symbol.

It raised the souls into the air, and back came the

bodies, between decay and sediment.

أما الرسوب فغير منتفع به

والمنتهى فنهاية المطلوبِ

والمنتهى فنهاية المطلوبِ

As for the sediment, it is of no use;

and the culmination is the fulfillment of what is sought.

فاصعد إلى الفلك المحيط فعنده

فَكُّ الأسير وفرجةُ المكروبِ

فَكُّ الأسير وفرجةُ المكروبِ

So ascend to the encompassing celestial sphere, for there lie

release for the captive and relief for the distressed.
