Unless talc is washed with water

and the particles of blackness are removed from it,

neither its dissolution nor its blending

can be hoped for, and the outcome is corruption.

And dissolving talc is washing away sin; so act

on this, for it is the path to right guidance.

Pour water over it inside a bag,

and rub it gently and unhurriedly.

Then collect its pure portion from it in the water,

while its dregs remain like ash.

Afterward it is ground with water for a long time,

and from it emerges a benefit for humankind.

    That washed sediment is called

    salts and hard bodies.
