حكمةwisdom أخفيتconcealed عنfrom الناسthe people طراًall without exception
حكمة أخفيت عن الناس طراً
خفيةhidden منfrom معرّةharm الأشرارِthe wicked
خفية من معرّة الأشرارِ
A wisdom concealed from all people,
A wisdom concealed from people utterly
kept secret from the harm of the wicked.
Hidden from the understanding of evildoers
طعمهpartook of it الأنبياءthe prophets قونunclear as written; possibly 'sustenance' حلالlawful
طعمه الأنبياء قون حلال
وبلاغand provision الأبرارthe righteous والأخيارِand the virtuous
وبلاغ الأبرار والأخيارِ
The prophets partook of it—lawful [sustenance?];
Its taste made lawful by the prophets
and provision for the righteous and the virtuous.
And the attainment of the righteous and virtuous
منwhoever يردهseeks it لغيرfor anything other than عقباهhis hereafter يحرمwill be deprived
من يرده لغير عقباه يحرم
فتزوّدso take provision منهfrom it لتلكfor that الدارِabode
فتزوّد منه لتلك الدارِ
Whoever seeks it for anything other than his hereafter will be deprived;
He who seeks it for other than its consequences is deprived
so take provision from it for that abode.
