True news has indeed belied conjecture,
Opinion has belied the truthful news,

ياO أرضُearth تِيهاًtake pride فقدfor indeed ملكتِyou have gained بهin him
أعجوبةa marvel منamong محاسنِthe beauties of الصُّوَرِforms
O earth, take pride, for in him you have gained
O land, wandered aimlessly, you have, through him,
A marvel among the beauties of form.
Attained a marvel of beautiful forms.

No wonder if his resting places shine,
No wonder his resting abodes shine,
For they are among the mansions of the moon.
For they are like the moon's mansions.
أوor قَذِيَتْwas troubled by grit مقلتيmy eye فلاthen no عَجَبٌwonder

Or if my eye is troubled by grit, there is no wonder,
Or if my eyelashes twinkled, no surprise,
For they have cast her dust upon my sight.
For they sprinkled his dust into my eyes.
