I see in you a face of rejection that does not change.

And union with you, Hind, in love remains beyond reach.

and, still short of it, the young man's gaze grieves.

Hind, did the eye's aversion to weeping deceive you,

while, at the sight of you, blood streams from my eye?

To God I complain; He is more powerful than you.

a virtuous young man, sweet of character and benevolent.

and have never ceased reflecting on his deeds.

and sound judgment that governs affairs.

Ever present for those who seek him, freely bestowing gifts,

with one arriving in hope and another departing.

He regards whoever befriends him as doing him the greater favor,

when a bearer of glad tidings comes to him with seekers.

And I know full well that in making my way toward him

lies contentment in what I love and favor:

complete contentment in excellence, faith, and generosity,

and a lineage in which the very root of noble virtues takes pride.

His two hands have banished poverty with bounty and generosity,

and one who once lived on little now matches him in gains.

If a hopeful man seeks him out while destitute,

he fears no delay from him and dreads no refusal.

You have grown accustomed to generosity that shuns novelty; and unceasingly

your fine tales spread throughout the ages.

Joy to you on the feast whose feast you yourself are!

And may feasts keep multiplying in your presence.

And may good fortune, blessing, and contentment greet you there,

and may all you hope for be easy and readily attainable.
