نُطعِمُهاwe feed her اللَحمَthe meat إِذاwhen عَزَّis scarce الشَجَرthe trees
نُطعِمُها اللَحمَ إِذا عَزَّ الشَجَر
وَالخَيلُand the horses فيin إِطعامِهاfeeding them اللَحمَthe meat عَسَرdifficult
وَالخَيلُ في إِطعامِها اللَحمَ عَسَر
We feed them flesh when trees grow scarce;
We feed her meat when trees are scarce;
but horses are hard to feed on flesh.
and feeding meat to horses is difficult.
