تُزَجّيdrive along عِكاكَsultry heat أَخصامُهاits edges العُلاthe lofty ones
تُزَجّي عِكاكَ أَخصامُها العُلا
وَماand not نَزَلَتit descended حَولَaround المَقَرِّal-Maqarr عَلىwith عَمدِdeliberate intent
وَما نَزَلَت حَولَ المَقَرِّ عَلى عَمدِ
Its lofty edges drive the sultry heat along.
Her enemies urge her to descend from her lofty perch,
And it did not descend around al-Maqarr deliberately.
Yet she remains steadfast, never wavering from her purpose.
