الغيمُ بينَ مُمَسَّكٍ ومُعَصْفَرِ

الغيمُ بينَ مُمَسَّكٍ ومُعَصْفَرِ

والماءُ بينَ مُصَنْدَلٍ ومُعَنْبَرِ

والماءُ بينَ مُصَنْدَلٍ ومُعَنْبَرِ

The clouds are musk-tinted or safflower-dyed;

The clouds between ambergris and saffron,

And the water, sandalwood-tinted or ambergris-hued;

The water between sandalwood and amber,

والروضُ بينَ مُدَمْلَجٍ ومُتوَّجِ

والروضُ بينَ مُدَمْلَجٍ ومُتوَّجِ

والوردُ بينَ مدرهَمٍ ومدنَّرِ

والوردُ بينَ مدرهَمٍ ومدنَّرِ

And the garden, bracelet-adorned or crowned;

The garden between brocade and crown,

And the roses, like silver dirhams or gold dinars;

The roses between gold coin and strewing of pearls,

والأرضُ قَدْ لَبِسَتْ قميصاً أخضراً

والأرضُ قَدْ لَبِسَتْ قميصاً أخضراً

تختالُ فيه بطيلسانٍ أحمرِ

تختالُ فيه بطيلسانٍ أحمرِ

And the earth has donned a green shirt,

The earth has worn a green shirt,

Strutting in it with a red shawl,

Strutting in it crimson basilisk,

لتروقَنا بظرائفٍ ولطائفٍ

لتروقَنا بظرائفٍ ولطائفٍ

من حسنِ منظرِها وطيبِ المخبرِ

من حسنِ منظرِها وطيبِ المخبرِ

To delight us with wonders and delicate charms

To please us with subtleties and niceties,

From her beautiful appearance and her pleasant nature.

From the beauty of its view and the goodness of its news,

سبحانَ مُحْيِي الأرض بعد مماتِها

سبحانَ مُحْيِي الأرض بعد مماتِها

وكذاكَ يحيي الخلقَ يومَ المحشرِ

وكذاكَ يحيي الخلقَ يومَ المحشرِ

Glory be to Him who revives the earth after its death;

Glory to the Reviver of the earth after its death,

And likewise He will revive creation on the Day of Gathering.

And so will He revive the creation on the Day of Gathering.
