إليكَ المشتكى لا منكَ ربِّي

إليكَ المشتكى لا منكَ ربِّي

وأنتَ لحادِثاتِ الدهرِ حسبي

وأنتَ لحادِثاتِ الدهرِ حسبي

My complaint is to You, not against You, my Lord.

To you I complain, though not from you, my Lord,

And You suffice me against the calamities of time.

And you are my recourse for worldly affairs.

تُروِّي غلَّتي وتَرمُّ حالي

تُروِّي غلَّتي وتَرمُّ حالي

وتُؤْمِنُ رَوْعَتي وتُزِيلُ كَرْبي

وتُؤْمِنُ رَوْعَتي وتُزِيلُ كَرْبي

You quench my thirst and set my affairs aright.

You quench my thirst and promote my condition,

And You allay my fear and dispel my distress.

Secure my fears and remove my sorrow.
