عجباً من تماسُكِ الأفلاكِ

عجباً من تماسُكِ الأفلاكِ

ومساغِ الزُّلالِ في الأحناكِ

ومساغِ الزُّلالِ في الأحناكِ

How astonishing that the celestial spheres hold together,

Wonder at the harmony of the spheres

and that clear water passes through the palates,

And flow of limpid streams through rocky clefts

وثباتِ الجبالِ بعدَ زوالِ ال

وثباتِ الجبالِ بعدَ زوالِ ال

طودِ ذي الطَّولِ مالك الأملاكِ

طودِ ذي الطَّولِ مالك الأملاكِ

and that the mountains stand firm after the passing of the

Steadfastness of mountains, towering tall

mountain of bounty, lord of kings!

After the ruin of lofty peaks

فلسانُ الزمانِ شاكٍ وطرفُ ال

فلسانُ الزمانِ شاكٍ وطرفُ ال

دهرِ باكٍ والرزءُ في الملكِ ناكِ

دهرِ باكٍ والرزءُ في الملكِ ناكِ

For Time’s tongue laments, and the eye of the

Tongue of time complains, eye of fate weeps

age weeps, and calamity wounds the realm.

And in realms of kings there lurks decay
