تفاحُapples غزنةَGhazna نفَّاعٌhighly beneficial ونفَّاحٌand fragrant
تفاحُ غزنةَ نفَّاعٌ ونفَّاحٌ
كأنَّهُas though it were الشهدُhoney والريحانُand basil والراحُand wine
كأنَّهُ الشهدُ والريحانُ والراحُ
Ghazna's apples are wholesome and fragrant;
The apple of Ghazna is delightful and fragrant
As though they were honey, basil, and wine.
As if it were honey, basil, and comfort itself
وماؤُهُand its juice بادِّكارِwith recollection of الرِّيقِsaliva منfrom قمرٍa moon
وماؤُهُ بادِّكارِ الرِّيقِ من قمرٍ
فيon خدِّهِhis cheek أبداًalways وردٌroses وتُفَّاحُand apples
في خدِّهِ أبداً وردٌ وتُفَّاحُ
And their juice recalls the saliva of a moon,
Its water from a moon's saliva
On whose cheek roses and apples dwell forever.
Forever a rose and apple blossom in its cheek
