وصولجانٍ بيدَيْ شادنٍ

وصولجانٍ بيدَيْ شادنٍ

لا يحسنُ العاشقُ أن يذكرَهْ

And a polo mallet in a young gazelle’s hands—

The lover knows not how to describe it.

وصولجانُ المسكِ في صدغِهِ

وصولجانُ المسكِ في صدغِهِ

متَّخذٌ حبةَ قلبي كُرَهْ

متَّخذٌ حبةَ قلبي كُرَهْ

And the polo mallet of musk at his temple

Has made the core of my heart its ball.
