O you who possess all that your byname signifies,

And in whose presence the world's scattered things are gathered together.

The cooing doves sang of your nobility,

And the rain-pouring clouds imitated your fingertips.

And through noble deeds and lofty heights you were borne

By aspirations that range over the summits of the stars.

And you have mastered the freeborn words, as though they were

Servants and pages standing ready at your command.

And it is as though spring's blossoms and flowers

Were letters from the embroidery of your script upon the pages.
