أبا منصورٍ المغرورَ أقْصِرْ

أبا منصورٍ المغرورَ أقْصِرْ

وأبْصِرْ طُرْقَ أصحابِ الرَّشادِ

وأبْصِرْ طُرْقَ أصحابِ الرَّشادِ

O deluded Abu Mansur, desist!

O deluded Abu Mansur, be brief

And behold the paths of the rightly guided.

And see the path of the rightly guided

ألَسْتَ ترى نجومَ الشيبِ لاحَتْ

ألَسْتَ ترى نجومَ الشيبِ لاحَتْ

وشيبُ المرءِ عنوانُ الفَسَادِ

وشيبُ المرءِ عنوانُ الفَسَادِ

Do you not see that the stars of gray hair have appeared?

Do you not see the stars of gray hair shone

And a person's gray hair is a sign of decay.

And the gray hair of man is a sign of corruption
