ياO ربِّmy Lord أنتَYou وهبتَهاYou bestowed it ليَon me نعمةًa blessing
يا ربِّ أنتَ وهبتَها ليَ نعمةً
أضحَتْit has become تُعينُhelps علىagainst الزمانِtime بِبِرِّهاthrough its goodness
أضحَتْ تُعينُ على الزمانِ بِبِرِّها
O Lord, it was You who gave her to me as a blessing.
O Lord, You bestowed it on me as a blessing.
She has come to aid me against Time through her devoted goodness.
It now helps me withstand time through its goodness.
ووهبتَand You bestowed منهاfrom it نعمةًa blessing لاdo not تُلْهِنيdistract me
ووهبتَ منها نعمةً لا تُلْهِني
ياO ربِّmy Lord أنتَYou بسُكْرِهاwith its intoxication عنfrom شُكرِهاgratitude for it
يا ربِّ أنتَ بسُكْرِها عن شُكرِها
And from her You granted a blessing that does not distract me,
And from it You bestowed a blessing; do not distract me,
O Lord, through intoxication with her, from thanking You for her.
O Lord, with its intoxication from giving thanks for it.
